We interviewed live: Ely Oaks is entering one of the most exciting chapters of his career. With a rapidly expanding international fanbase, major festival appearances and a growing presence across multiple markets, the German based artist is turning the vision he has had for his project into reality.
In a recent conversation with EDMNOMAD ,Ely Oaks reflected on his current momentum, the breakthrough moments that changed his career, the lessons he has learned from established artists, and what fans can expect from the next stage of his journey.
Building the Career He Always Envisioned :
For Ely Oaks, the current moment is the result of a clear vision that he has been developing for years. From the music he wants to create to the shows he wants to perform and the community he wants to build around his project, the artist feels that he is now in a position he always wanted to reach.
“I really like the vision I have in my head of how I want this artist project to be, what kind of music I want to make, what kind of shows I want to do, and also the fanbase,” he explains.
That vision is now becoming increasingly tangible. With a demanding touring schedule and shows across different markets, Ely Oakssays that everything is starting to work together.
While the pace can sometimes become intense, the artist remains grateful for the opportunities and the people he meets along the way. His fanbase has become one of the most rewarding parts of the journey, with audiences continuing to grow internationally.
From Germany to a Growing Global Audience :
Germany remains an important part of Ely Oaks’ career. Based in the country, he has experienced some of his biggest shows there, but one of the most exciting aspects of his current growth is seeing similar momentum develop in other territories.
His international expansion is already underway, with upcoming touring plans taking him beyond Europe and into North America, the United States, Australia and Asia.
For Ely Oaks , international growth is not about achieving everything overnight. Instead, it is about building each territory step by step and allowing the project to develop organically.
Some markets are naturally further along than others, but the overall direction remains clear: continue expanding the community and bringing the project to new audiences around the world.
Learning From Artists Who Have Stayed at the Top :
Longevity is another major theme in Ely Oaks’ approach to his career.
Reflecting on his work and relationships with established artists such as Armin van Buuren and the inspiration he draws from artists including Steve Aoki, Ely Oaks highlighted something he believes many of these long-lasting careers have in common: an extraordinary level of commitment.
For him, artists who have remained successful for decades understand the importance of looking after themselves while continuing to evolve.
What inspires Ely Oaks most is their ability to avoid becoming comfortable with past achievements. Instead, they continue thinking about what comes next, how they can improve and what new developments are happening within the industry.
That mindset is something he hopes to carry into his own career.
A Career Built Step by Step :
Ely Oaksalso emphasized that a successful career cannot be created overnight.
Looking at artists who have remained at the highest level for many years, he believes it is easy to underestimate just how much work went into reaching that position. Behind every major breakthrough are years of experimenting, learning, working and continuing even when the results are not immediate.
For emerging artists, his message is clear: focus on the long term.
The music industry continues to evolve, and artists need to understand how people discover and engage with music today. Social media has become an essential part of that ecosystem, making it important for new artists to pay attention to current trends and understand how the industry is changing.
The landscape of artist development is very different from what it was ten years ago, and staying aware of those changes can be crucial to building a sustainable career.
The Breakthrough: Viral Moments on TikTok
When asked about the moment he realized his career was truly beginning to take off, Ely Oakspointed to a period approximately two and a half years ago.
That was when his first major viral moments started appearing on TikTok.
Initially, Ely Oakshad focused heavily on remixes, but many of those tracks were difficult to release because his artist profile was still relatively small. Despite that, the music began reaching increasingly large audiences online.
One moment in particular stood out: a remix went viral and entered the global SoundCloud charts alongside Drake.
Even though the track was never officially released under his project, Ely Oaks describes the experience as a personal breakthrough, the moment when he realised that what he was doing could genuinely become something bigger.
From there, he continued following the same creative direction, eventually achieving several significant songs and viral moments the following year.
Then, in 2026, another major milestone arrived: major festival performances and a growing schedule of successful shows.
For Ely Oaks, the progression has been gradual but undeniable one opportunity leading to another and the effects becoming increasingly visible.
Taking the Live Experience to the Next Level :
Looking ahead, Ely Oaks is keeping many of his upcoming plans under wraps.
With the music industry moving faster than ever and his touring schedule already heavily planned, he says he does not want to reveal too much too far in advance.
What he can reveal, however, is that his focus remains firmly on creating memorable experiences for his audience.
His club shows already have a distinctive energy, but Ely Oaks wants to take that feeling even further in the future, both through his performances and his music.
Musically, he describes what is coming as dynamic, suggesting that fans can expect the project to continue evolving rather than remaining fixed in one direction.
The Next Chapter :
Ely Oaks’story is a strong example of how modern artist development can happen through a combination of music, social media, live performance and long term consistency.
From early viral remix moments to global SoundCloudrecognition, major festivals and an increasingly international touring schedule, his career has developed step by step.
But perhaps the most important part of his story is that he does not view the current momentum as the destination. Inspired by artists who have maintained their position at the top of the industry for decades, Ely Oaks is already thinking about what comes next.
With a growing international audience, more shows on the horizon and new music continuing to evolve, the next chapter of Ely Oaks’career looks set to be even bigger.
