The US Embassy in Dhaka has issued a new warning for Bangladeshis regarding US visas, cautioning that a visa may be revoked if the holder is arrested in connection with a criminal case.
The embassy shared the warning in a post on its verified Facebook page on Saturday (October 24).
In the post, the embassy stated, “If you are arrested, your US visa may be revoked. You may be deported from the United States and could become ineligible for future US visas.”
Earlier this month, the embassy issued another warning stating that involvement in theft could lead to the cancellation of a US visa and permanent ineligibility to enter the country.
In a notice published on its official Facebook page on October 10, the embassy said that physical assault, theft, robbery, and trespassing could result in visa revocation and permanent ineligibility.
The embassy also emphasized that the United States respects the rule of law and expects all foreign tourists and visitors entering the country to comply with US laws.
