Japanese professor highlights Azerbaijan’s diplomatic potential amid geopolitical tensions
Azerbaijan has significant potential to play an important diplomatic role amid the current geopolitical situation, Professor of International Relations at Japan’s Hitotsubashi University Maiko Ichihara told journalists.
Report notes, citing Ichihara, that the Caucasus is of considerable importance in the current geopolitical environment, with Azerbaijan being one of the key countries in the region.
The professor stressed that the ongoing conflict between the United States and Iran is a of countries around the world.
Speaking about relations between Azerbaijan and Japan, Ichihara highlighted the need to strengthen bilateral cooperation
“Countries as important as Azerbaijan also deserve attention. Relations between Azerbaijan and Japan are of great importance,” she said.
Ichihara visited Baku to attend a lecture titled “The Changing Landscape of Global Governance and the Role of Middle Powers,” held at Khazar University in November. The event was organized by the Embassy of Japan in Azerbaijan.
